LANPARK is pleased to announce, on behalf of the Broadband Forum, the 2nd 2025 PON Interoperability Test Event that will be held in LANPARK laboratories located in Tours, France, from July 7 to 11, 2025.
The event is in the continuity of the work done within the ACCESS, formerly FAN (Fiber Access Network) working group of the Broadband Forum on conformance and interoperability between PON OLT (Optical Line Termination) and ONU (Optical Network Unit).
It gives the opportunity to all equipment vendors, members of the Broadband Forum, to improve the interoperability of their products by testing them against all the other solutions presented for the event.
The test event will allow worldwide vendors to exercise their OLT or ONU solutions against each other, with respect to subsets of Broadband Forum test plans. The set of test cases covered by this plugfest for each PON technology, XGS-PON, 25GS-PON and 50G-PON, are available to Broadband Forum members at the Broadband Forum.
The following PON standard interfaces will be tested during this event:
- ITU-T G.9807 XGS-PON
- ITU-T G.9804 HS-PON
- MSA: 25GS-PON
The following BBF test plans will be used during this event:
- BBF TP-255 OLT-ONU Interoperability
- BBF TR-309 PON TC Layer interoperability

LANPARK
LANPARK is an independent, privately owned test laboratory serving the needs of telecom, smartgrids, smart gas, and water grids operators for certification, interoperability and qualification testing. Broadband Forum’s Approved Test Laboratory, LANPARK is accredited to conduct the globally recognized BBF.247 certification tests for G-PON, XG-PON and XGS-PON terminals. Many Broadband Forum G-PON and XGS-PON plugfests have been organized by LANPARK over the past 15 years.
All the information to register your company and its participants is detailed below.
It follows the guidelines and conditions of participation in this plugfest that you have to adhere and share with all the participants in your company.
Participants (OLT / ONU / OLT emulator vendors)
The participation fees are the following:
1/ Participation Fees: EUR 3,600.00 / USD4,140.00 per company.
2/ EUR 360.00 / USD 414.00 per participant.
Number of participants per company:
- Vendors with only OLT are limited to 1 participant plus 1 participant per supported technology.
- Vendors with only ONU are limited to 1 participant plus 1 participant per supported technology.
- Vendors with OLT and ONU are limited to 1 participant plus 1 participant per supported technology and type of product (OLT and ONU).
Eg. The maximum number of participants for a company having XGS-PON and HS PON OLTs and HS-PON ONU is : 1 + 2 + 1 = 4 participants.
The PON Plugfest test plan executed during this event will be defined by the Broadband Forum ACCESS Work Area. Within the scope of this PON Plugfest, as a part of your organization’s registration process, please indicate the functionality (OLT, ONU or OLT Emulator) and the technology (XGS-PON, 25GS-PON or HS-PON) that your submitted device supports, so that appropriate testing pairings can be scheduled and allocated.
To register your company and participants, please use and complete the following form.
- Deadline for registration is June 9th 2025.
- Deadline for signing the NDA is June 30th 2025.
- Deadline for payment is June 30th 2025.
Please note that your final registration is done when NDA is signed and payment is confirmed.

1/ Designate the main contact person who will be in charge of:
- Registering the company
- Registering all company participants.
- Processing the payment of the event fees.
- Having the Plugfest NDA signed.
2/ (Pre)register your company:
Complete and validate the registration form for your company: Register
You will then receive by Email:
- a Registration Number for your company.
- a Proforma invoice for your participation (including Company + participant fees).
3/ Complete and Validate the NDA:
A dedicated NDA will have to be signed by your company prior to the event: Download the NDA.
Please note that without signing this NDA, you will not be able to participate in this plugfest.
4/ Proceed to the payment:
When the payment is done, please notify the organizers by sending an Email to plugfest@lanpark.eu with the keyword "PON plugfest" in the subject field.
To participate to this event, each Company must sign an NDA with LANPARK.
Once signed, this NDA must be scanned and sent back to plugfest@lanpark.eu
Please note that without signing this NDA, you will not be able to participate in this plugfest.
It is possible for participants to send equipment in advance. It will be stored by LANPARK and will be provided to participants for the event.
This is the responsibility of each participant to organize the shipment to and from France (choice of the transport company, transport fees, administrative etc.).
Each participant is free to select the transport company of his/her choice. Return shipment must be arranged when organizing incoming shipment. Please check carefully to ensure your company complies with the correct shipping rules for shipping equipment to France.
In all cases, bring all shipping information with you:
Airway bill/tracking numbers, name and contact details of shipping company, details of pick up arrangements.
Also it is requested that each participant makes sure that the customs forms are adequately filled and that no tax funding will be requested to LANPARK by borders services. LANPARK will not bear any such tax fees in case shipment forms to France were not correctly filled.

If you are an OLT manufacturer and would like to prepare for the installation of your OLT before the Plugfest, please contact the organizers plugfest@lanpark.eu. We can welcome you the week before, or help you install and start up your equipment remotely to ensure your equipment is working well before the event.
Please ensure your products are shipped early enough to be delivered to LANPARK no later than June 30, 2025.
